Spirit & Kit Popularity
Consistent with past years, cocktail orders really picked up beginning the week of Thanksgiving, accelerated through Cyber Monday, and peaked in mid-December. Vodka, whiskey and tequila cocktails led the way, making up nearly 3 of every 4 cocktails delivered. Here’s a look at the total seasonal cocktail kit orders by spirit in 2021 vs. 2022:
As you can see above, vodka remained constant as the most popular spirit overall during the holiday season. Whiskey, tequila, and rum increased in popularity while non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails with sparkling wine, and gin saw declines in share.

Group Orders
Cocktails were extremely popular choices for both group gifting and virtual events. The average group order was purchased for 15 different cocktail enthusiasts. Our clients shared the joy of cocktails to show appreciation for their clients, employees, and friends (in that order).
The “post-pandemic” winter of 2022 brought with it a change in the type of virtual event that was spiced up by our cocktails. Taking the place of the large-scale virtual events that characterized the first two years of the pandemic, 2022 saw more intimate virtual gatherings among employees and friends.

The holidays are a great time to reflect on the year, get together with friends and family, and to say thanks. But gifting experts are quick to point out that gifts sent “off season” can make a bigger impact. So, if there’s someone in your world that deserves a toast… why wait until December?!
